Carnival Pledges Its Cruises Will Be Carbon Neutral by 2050

Carnival Corp., the world’s largest cruise company, plans to slash its carbon footprint by 2030 and be carbon neutral by 2050.

The company wants to cut its carbon rate -- based on capacity -- by 40% relative to 2008 levels by the end of the decade, according to sustainability goals releasedBloomberg Terminal Tuesday.
