Fund managers with $592 billion in assets have a new favorite equity region globally: Europe.
According to the May survey by Bank of America Corp., euro-area stocks overtook emerging-market equities as the world’s biggest overweight, with net 35% exposure being the highest since 2018. U.K. equities were also popular, with investors going long for the first time since 2012. In contrast, the allocation to U.S. stocks dropped 1 percentage point to 6% overweight.
