Ramsey Clark, whose unconventional legal career took him from top law enforcement officer in the U.S. to defender of such widely shunned figures as Saddam Hussein, Slobodan Milosevic and Omar Abdel-Rahman, the Egyptian cleric convicted of planning terrorist attacks in the U.S., has died. He was 93.
He died April 9 at his home in New York, according to the New York Times, citing his niece Sharon Welch.
