Barclays, HSBC Among Banks That Must Defend Sibor Lawsuit

More than a dozen large banks including Barclays Plc and HSBC Holdings PLC must face a 2016 lawsuit alleging they manipulated benchmark interest rates.

A federal appeals court in New York on Wednesday reinstated claims relating to the Singapore Interbank Offered Rate, also known as Sibor, as well as the Singapore Swap Offered Rate, vacating a lower court decision that had dismissed the suit.
