Nio Partners With Local Hefei Government for EV Industrial Park

Electric-vehicle maker Nio Inc. is partnering with the local government of Hefei in China’s central Anhui province to set up a new energy vehicle industrial park, adding momentum to the city’s ambition of becoming a hub for EV production.
The Hefei Xinqiao Smart Electric Vehicle Industrial Park is aimed at attracting “high-quality enterprises,” with the Hefei government assisting in construction, funding and talent acquisition, according to a statement Thursday. The park will integrate electric vehicle R&D, manufacturing, pilot demonstrations and industrial support services.
