Canadian lawmakers passed a motion calling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to add the Proud Boys to Canada’s official list of terrorist organizations.

The motion, which also calls on the government to address the rise of “white supremacist and hate groups,” received unanimous consent in the House of Commons on Monday. If Trudeau moves ahead with the designation, it could open up right-wing organizations like Proud Boys to a range of criminal sanctions.
