The race to see who takes over as head of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development is tightening, with the field narrowing to a group of favored candidates.
Sweden’s Cecilia Malmstrom, a veteran of multilateral negotiations from her time as European Union trade commissioner, and Switzerland’s Philipp Hildebrand, vice chairman at BlackRock Inc., said they’d been chosen for the next round of the competition to replace outgoing Secretary General Angel Gurria.
