Capitol Rioters’ Passion for Trump May Do Little to Help Other Republicans
Many of those shown in news footage had no party affiliation and voted sporadically, if at all.

As authorities begin arresting members of the mob that overran the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, leaving four of them and one police officer dead, we’re beginning to get a clearer picture of exactly who they are.
Their alleged actions, of course, mark them as committed supporters of President Donald Trump, who summoned them to Washington for the “Save American Rally” (“Be there. Will be Wild!” the president wrote in a since-deleted tweet), and then directed them to the Capitol.
