Michael Cohen feels vindicated. Two years ago, testifying before a Congressional committee, President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer predicted that if Trump was defeated in 2020, there wouldn’t be a peaceful transfer of power.

Few believed him at the time. Democrats were wary of getting too close to Trump’s former fixer, while Republicans loathed him for turning on Trump, who labeled Cohen a “rat.”

But with the storming of the Capitol in Washington Wednesday by an enraged mob egged on by the president, Cohen’s prediction has come to pass.

Reached by phone Wednesday, while the mayhem at the Capitol was unfolding, Cohen said everything he testified about two years ago was true.
