New Government Commitments to Green Stimulus Slow

National governments have made unprecedented pledges recently to address climate change over the next several decades. Unfortunately, those promises have not been matched by major, shorter-term commitments to ensure clean and green Covid-19 recoveries. National commitments to green technologies grew by just over $1 billion last month to $179 billion to date. Month-on-month growth in green stimulus was just a tenth of the pace at which governments upped support for carbon-intensive sectors.
