Toyota Motor Corp. added about 2.66 million vehicles to a recall due to potentially defective fuel pumps that may cause stalling and increase the risk of crashes, bringing the total number of Toyota and Lexus brands recalled globally this year to about 5.84 million.

The latest move, which affects 42 models including the Camry, expands on recalls announced in JanuaryBloomberg Terminal and March as those didn’t cover vehicles that should have been included, Toyota spokeswoman Shino Yamada said in an emailed statement Thursday.
