BOE’s Bailey Downplays Talk of V-Shaped U.K. Economic Recovery

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey downplayed talk of a V-shaped economic recovery, taking a more cautious view of the outlook than some of his colleagues.

Although there has been some rebound in activity, output remains around 9% below the levels seen at the end of last year, Bailey told members of the House of Lords’ Economic Affairs Committee Monday.
