Arizona Virus Cases Jump 5.1%, Hospitalizations Hit Record High
- Single-day jump in admissions is largest since pandemic struck
- Increase in cases is more than double prior week’s average

Arizona health authorities reported 3,056 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, a 5.1% increase that brought the total to 63,030. That was more than double the prior seven-day average of 2.3%.
The number of people admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 jumped by 183 to 2,453, the biggest single-day increase since the state began tracking the number, according to Arizona Department of Health Services data.
