President Donald Trump is poised to sign a measure that would punish Chinese officials for imprisoning more than one million Muslims in internment camps, as he looks to rebuke Beijing over its crackdown in Hong Kong and its response to the coronavirus.
Trump said he would announce on Friday what the administration would do “with respect to China,” though there’s no indication he’s planning to focus on the legislation. The White House has scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m.
