Brazil reported another day of staggering virus numbers as Rio de Janeiro’s handling of the crisis becomes target of a police investigation.

Rio de Janeiro Governor Wilson Witzel, a political rival of President Jair Bolsonaro, had his official residence searched by police on Tuesday and his mobile phones and computers seized as part of an investigation into misuse of funds to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
