The House Republicans did slightly better at fundraising than the House Democrats in April, only the second time in the last two years the GOP has come out on top.

The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $11.4 million, said a party official not authorized to speak on its behalf. That topped the $11.3 million the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced it had raised. The DCCC still has a wide financial advantage, having raised about $44 million more than the NRCC in the current election cycle.
