Gilad Erdan Named Israel’s Next Ambassador to U.S., U.N.

Gilad Erdan was appointed to be Israel’s next ambassador to the U.S. and the United Nations, according to a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.

Erdan is a member of Netanyahu’s Likud party, and he is the country’s outgoing minister of internal security, minister of strategic affairs and minister of information.
