Salesforce.com Inc. Chief Executive Officer Marc Benioff called on the U.S. government to give companies financial incentives to hire workers who have lost their jobs in the Covid-19 recession.

“For young people and those now experiencing a need to rehire, I think the government in the second phase should give companies incentives to rehire aggressively,” Benioff said Monday in a Bloomberg TV interview. “That will be extremely important to make sure the second phase is successful.”
