New York reported almost 400 new coronavirus fatalities overnight, pushing up the state’s death toll from the outbreak to almost 2,000, Governor Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.

The state now has almost 84,000 confirmed infections after adding about 8,000 in the last day, he said at his daily news conference on the outbreak.
