Close to 100 Amazon.com Inc. warehouse workers in Staten Island, New York, are planning a walk-out on Monday morning as they demand that the facility be closed for cleaning and employees receive paid time off while it’s shut down, CNBC reported.
The plan is for the workers to cease all operations until their demands are heard by the e-commerce giant, CNBC said, citing Chris Smalls, a management assistant at the warehouse, known as JFK8, and a lead organizer of the strike.
