Pierre Andurand, the hedge fund manager known for bullish oil calls, saw his bets soar this month as the energy markets traded near one of the lowest levels since the start of the century.

The main Andurand Commodities Fund was up 57.5% in the first three weeks of March, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named because the information isn’t public. That puts the year to date gains at 47.4%.
