Venezuela Orders Lock-Down as Coronavirus Cases Nearly Double

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro said the entire country will enter a quarantine on Tuesday after the number of coronavirus cases almost doubled to 33.

“We are preparing for the gravest situation we’ve ever faced before,” Maduro said in televised comments from the presidential palace. “As of tomorrow, all of the country will enter a quarantine. It is indispensable and necessary, and it is the answer.”
