Spending on ESG Data Seen Rising to $1 Billion Amid Asset Growth

Investors will likely spend $1 billion on data tracking environmental, social and governance factors by 2021, with investment in ESG data gaining about 20% a year, according to research from data firm Opimas LLC.
Spending on ESG data was $619 million in 2019, up from $505 million in 2018, Opimas said in a report published on Monday.
