BOJ Is Said to Mull Cutting Economic Assessment on Virus

The Bank of Japan is likely to consider downgrading its economic assessment this month due to the expected impact from the coronavirus outbreak, according to people familiar with the matter.

The BOJ will probably discuss changing its overall economic view at its March 18-19 meeting after the virus has changed economic conditions, the people told Bloomberg before the Federal Reserve cut its interest rate late Tuesday night.
