Turkish bankers can look forward to more deals as gains in the nation’s stock market rekindles interest in mergers and acquisitions.

The country’s economy is poisedBloomberg Terminal to recover from almost zero growth in 2019 after a series of interest-rate cuts stoked demand for credit. A lull in political tensions between Washington and Ankara is also adding to the likelihood that more deals, including initial public offerings, may cross the finish line. Both KPMG International and Ernst & Young Global Ltd. expect M&A to increase about threefold in 2020.
