Protesters returned to the streets of Colombian cities after a Christmas lull, in the latest challenge to the increasingly unpopular administration of President Ivan Duque.
Groups of demonstrators blocked roads with rocks, trash and burning tires in several parts of Bogota, and clashed with police in riot gear. There was also unrest in Cali, Colombia’s third-largest city.
