Costly Divorce Leaves Bezos With 2019's Top Wealth Drop: Chart

Jeff Bezos is on track to lose more wealth than anybody else on the planet this year due to his divorce from MacKenzie Bezos. The net worth of the Amazon.com Inc. chief executive officer has fallen $13.6 billion to $111.4 billion after the split saw a quarter of his holdings in the online retailer transfer to his wife of 25 years. Amazon shares have rallied since then to reduce the size of the drop, and he’s still the world’s second-wealthiest man as of Dec. 20, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
