A shootout occurred in central Moscow at the Lubyanka headquarters of Russia’s Federal Security Service as President Vladimir Putin was scheduled to attend a Kremlin concert less than a mile away to commemorate their work.
One of the employees of the FSB, as the intelligence service is known, was killed in the attack on Thursday by a lone gunman, who has been “eliminated,” the Investigative Committee said in website statement. Five people, including one civilian, were wounded.
