The cold, wet weather that plagued Canadian farmers this year has claimed another victim: Honey. Output in Canada fell 15% in the 2019 season that’s now wrapped up, the most in six years, as supplies from No. 1 producer Alberta shrank to the smallest since 2000, according to government data. The declines were also spurred by a reduction in the number of bee colonies nationally, which were down 2.1% compared with 2018.
