Civil Human Rights Front, the organizer of some of Hong Kong’s biggest protests, said it got approval from police for a planned demonstration Sunday.

The group received a letter of no objection from the police regarding the march, it said in a statement on social media Thursday, without providing further details. That’s the first time it has obtained such a permit since July 21, the group’s convenor Jimmy Sham, said by phone.
