Shares in U.K.’s Worst Retailer Have Jumped 40% This Year

Shares of a retailer labeled Britain’s worst have soared to record levels this year and at least one broker says they have further to go.
WH Smith Plc, whose ageing U.K. store chain has finished bottom of a shopper survey by consumer watchdog Which? for the last two years, has seen its stock jump 40% in 2019, but even this may underestimate its potential, according to Peel Hunt analysts Jonathan Pritchard and John Stevenson.
