Just as billionaire hedge fund titan Louis Bacon retreats from trading, a former colleague he hailed as one of the world’s “most impressive” money managers is racing toward his best year in more than a decade.
Greg Coffey, who came out of an early retirement in 2018 to start his own macro hedge fund, has traded his way to an almost 29% return this year through October, according to an investor letter seen by Bloomberg.
