Duterte Appoints Philippine Opposition Leader as Anti-Drug Chief

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Vice President Leni Robredo as co-chair of the anti-illegal drugs committee, his spokesman said.

The government “supposes that detractors and critics will finally see the sincerity of the President in making such offer,” Duterte’s spokesman Salvador Panelo said in a statement.
