Democrats have set a blistering pace for their impeachment inquiry of Donald Trump, stoking the president’s fury by rapidly scheduling interviews and testimony with a lineup of witnesses including the recently departed U.S. envoy to Ukraine.
Kurt Volker, who stepped down last week from his unpaid role representing American interests in Ukraine, arrived Thursday for a closed-door deposition to the three House committees looking into Trump’s pressure on a foreign power to investigate a political rival, Joe Biden.
