House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blinked in her standoff with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, allowing the House to vote on the Senate version of a $4.5 billion border funding bill and abandoning an amendment sought by her progressive members.
The House passed the bill 305 to 102 Thursday, sending it to President Donald Trump to sign into law as members of the chamber leave Washington for next week’s recess.
