A Swiss court ordered the International Association of Athletics Federations to immediately suspend the implementation of eligibility regulations against Caster Semenya, the South African two-time Olympic 800-meter champion.

The ruling by the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland means Semenya will be able to compete without restriction as a woman while her appeal against a Court of Arbitration for Sport’s ruling is pending, according to an emailed statement from her lawyers.
