Le Monde publisher Louis Dreyfus was summoned for questioning by France’s domestic intelligence services about the newspaper’s coverage of a security guard fired by President Emmanuel Macron.
He’s the most prominent member of the media to be summoned by French authorities over their reporting. Forty French newspapers said in an editorial on Thursday that the moves are “attempts to intimidate journalists who are only doing their job.”
