Actor Michelle Rodriguez Signs Up to ‘Fast & Furious 9’

Actor Michelle Rodriguez has agreed to return in the ninth installment of the “Fast & Furious” movie franchise, but only after securing agreement for a female writer to join the production.

Rodriguez stars as Letty Ortiz in the franchise, which has proven a cash cow for Comcast Corp. since it took over Universal Pictures in 2011. In an Instagram post in June 2017, Rodriguez said that she would walk away unless producers showed “some love to the women of the franchise on the next one.”
