The House Judiciary Committee voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena for Robert Mueller’s unredacted report, as the White House asserted executive privilege over the special counsel’s work.

The Judiciary panel’s 24-16 vote Wednesday was the latest move in an escalating clash with an administration that is refusing House Democrats’ demands for documents and testimony. President Donald Trump said last month that “we’re fighting all the subpoenas,” and more Democrats are starting to consider impeachment proceedings against him.
