Evans Says Fed Can Easily Be Patient and Assess Economic Outlook

The U.S. central bank can “easily” take a patient stance toward additional interest-rate increases as it assesses the outlook for the economy amid turmoil in financial markets and muted inflation, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Charles Evans said.
“We’re just at a good point for sort of pausing,” Evans said Thursday in a Bloomberg Television interview. “I’m not worried about inflation getting out of hand.”
