Neiman Marcus Group Inc. is biting back at Marble Ridge Capital over claims that the retailer defaulted on debt agreements when it transferredBloomberg Terminal the MyTheresa subsidiary beyond the reach of creditors.

The luxury chain filedBloomberg Terminal counter-claims in a Texas state court in Dallas Friday seeking damages tied to allegedly “false statements” that Marble Ridge made about Neiman in a lawsuit and public letters. Neiman also wants the court to dismiss Marble Ridge’s Dec. 10 lawsuit, calling the claims “legally defective.”
