The Ultimate Fighting Championship plans to invest $13 million in a new training facility in Shanghai, part of its push to develop mixed martial arts in the world’s most-populous country.

The 93,000-square-foot facility, expected to open next year, will feature MMA coaches, nutritionists, physical therapists and sports scientists, according to a company statement. It will also become UFC’s Asia headquarters, and have built-in spectator seating so the organization can produce live events on-site.
