Expedia Earnings Beat Estimates, Fueled by Home-Rentals Growth

Expedia Group Inc. reported third-quarter earnings that beat analysts’ estimates, boosted by growth in short-term rental unit HomeAway.

Profit excluding some costs rose 41 percent to $553 million, or $3.56 per share, in the three months ending Sept. 30, the company said in a statementBloomberg Terminal. Analysts had predicted $3.10 a share, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
