Salesforce.com Inc. Co-Chief Executive Officer Marc Benioff touted his company as an example of corporate responsibility while once again wading into Facebook Inc.’s troubles.

Benioff announced $18 million in contributions to education and homelessness programs in the San Francisco Bay Area, hailing the software company’s commitment to public-private partnerships to address societal issues. He later seized on his favorite foil, Facebook, as an example of a company that needs to focus more on its corporate culture, citing the recently announced departures of Instagram’s co-founders from the social media giant.
