The EU has given up on blocking Chinese imports of solar panels as local manufacturing declines

The European Union’s attempt to bolster its solar-panel industry by imposing anti-dumping duties on Chinese photovoltaic modules failed to achieve its purpose, according to Bloomberg NEF. There is little manufacturing capacity left in Europe and the European Commission has announced the end of the policy introduced five years ago.
