That freshly squeezed lemonade you’ll enjoy this weekend is getting more expensive. Blame California’s scorching heat. Conditions that helped spark deadly wildfires in the state -- the top U.S. grower of lemons -- are also taking a toll on its crop, sending prices up by as much as 49 percent from a month ago and to their highest level in records since 2000. The threat to the fruit comes as demand was already projected to outpace domestic production for at least the seventh straight year.
