A coalition of 156 Asian American groups backed a federal lawsuit against Harvard University claiming unfair admissions practices that limited the number of Asian American applicants admitted to the Ivy League school.
The Asian American Coalition for Education filed a friend-of-the-court brief in support of claims brought by Students for Fair Admissions, which is backed by anti-affirmative action crusader Edward Blum. The group points to low "personal rating" scores given to Asian American applicants and a study by Harvard’s own researchers showing misalignment between the number of Asian Americans admitted and high academic scores.
