Artificial intelligence will bring mixed fortunes for U.K. workers, creating jobs in some industries, destroying them in others

Robots could destroy about 7 million existing U.K. jobs but create at least that many more over the next two decades, according to analysis by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Worst hit will be manufacturing, which could see 25 percent of current staff cut by 2037 because of artificial intelligence and related technologies. Health and social work will benefit most, with 22 percent more jobs created, the report showed.
