White House Communications Director Hope Hicks declined to answer some questions during a lengthy closed-door interview with the House Intelligence Committee in its investigation of Russian campaign interference, lawmakers said.
“We got Bannoned!” said panel Democrat Denny Heck of Washington, in a reference to the previous refusal of former chief White House strategist Steve Bannon to answer some questions. Republican Chris Stewart of Utah said Hicks wouldn’t answer questions about events and conversations since President Donald Trump took office.
