Turkey’s policy makers are reassessing the scope of a stimulus program, a top aide to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan indicated Thursday.

Last year, the government guaranteed more than 200 billion liras ($52.2 billion) worth of low-cost loans to boost credit growth after the failed July 2016 military coup sent economic activity sinking. The economy has since rallied, and economic adviser Cemil Ertem said the loan guarantees are being parceled out to companies in smaller amounts than the government originally planned.
